Purchased around 25 native plants from this nursery late last year after moving into our new house. This is my first flower garden. There was (of course) an early snow just a week later, and I was concerned that my new plants weren't going to make it. Only one didn't come back this spring. The others are thriving. Very happy with my purchases, and the couple that helped me were very kind and knowledgeable.
Hidden gem for sure. I stopped by here today because I had an immensely stressful day and needed to unwind with chlorophyll therapy. At first, it seems like a cute native plant shop with several tables covered in various native species available to purchase. The more you look around, the more you discover. I was looking at some potted plants, and decided to glance up. I noticed a small trail that led through a gorgeous display of plants growing naturally. There were markers available letting you know what plants were there if you wanted to learn more, and the cacti growing in that spot is BEAUTIFUL. The gentleman there walked up to us immediately and offered assistance and welcomed us, and gave us a very brief tour of the place, a very kind person with great service. They also make information about the plants you can buy easy to find and understand. I think my favorite thing about this place, is that while we strolled through, we saw SO MANY pollinators. I live in an apartment and do not have any need or space to purchase these kinds of plants yet, but I will be going back to buy something next week just to support. We need more places like this!!
This place is a bit hidden and I still don't understand how they have THAT many plants in a relatively small place. Best part is the staff. I went to get some ideas for the spring and one of the guys walked me through a bunch of options to solve problems I didn't realize could be solved. Wonderful to have a good local source for native plants.
I love this place. I've purchased a tree and several ground cover plants. I really appreciate the fact that everything they sell is native to MO or KS. The plants I bought are very healthy and thriving. Great service too. These guys know what they are talking about. I will try and add photos when I get it all planted.
