Omg the buffalo!!! Such awesome company doing something that is actually unique and really helpful !
We were quite impressed with this company and the employees; we sustained significant tornado damage to our property and MN Native Landscapes came in, gave us a reasonable bid and got right to work. They did a great job and everyone from the person who bid the work to the heavy equipment operator was friendly and professional.
Purchased 72 plugs using their build-a-kit, 3" plugs ended up coming out to about $3.30 a plug. They came highly recommended from a friend who does prairie restoration work, so going in I had high expectations and they definitely exceeded them. A couple things they do great: Their website has tons of information as far as where plants can go, soil type, all that good stuff. For planning out a garden/prairie this came incredibly handy. The fact that it's a sortable spreadsheet makes life so much easier, I cannot say how useful that was. Second, shipping was great and fast, and informative. What I mean by that is they gave me a notice a week or two before the plants shipped which gave us plenty of time to do any last minute site preparation, get any last materials, and do any final planning. Once I got the shipping notification the plants came next day. Third, the plants were in great condition. They looked great, packaging was good, and most importantly all the roots looked fabulous. I also purchased seed from them, apparently they are tested and mixed to order. They indicate on the website that they are tested for noxious weeds, germination, and purity, allowing them to sell it as "PLS" or Pure Live Seed. This sounds good, in reality it's even better, and I wish they would say this on the website: say you pay for a 4 ounces of seed and 99% of the seed weight tests as PLS they will bulk it out with extra to ensure you get a guaranteed 4 ounces of PLS. What this means is the final package you receive will be a little over weight because they account for the
I ordered Little Blue Stem and Butterfly Milkweed to place on our septic mound. The order was shipped yesterday and arrived this morning (thoughtfully placed in the shade) everything is in great condition with very clear instructions. Good company, I have bought multiple seed mixes from them for some wildflower areas we have. They will not be the cheapest seeds you can get, but they are native plants and good quality.
