When I bought my house, I started dreaming right away of a beautiful, native Midwest garden, that would be eco-friendly and beautiful. Of course, I had no idea how to get there!! I hired Liz for a garden consultation, and she listened to my dreams for what I wanted, took into consideration my barriers, was gentle and understanding about the non-native hydrangeas I wanted to keep, and began to educate me on how to build and maintain a garden that both I and the pollinators would love. Since that initial consultation, I keep coming back to North Branch Natives: for seed collection classes, for native plant kits, for garden stewardship time with Nicki (one part hard work, one part education on better understanding plants, one part much needed pep talk!). I feel so incredibly lucky to have them as a resource in our neighborhood, and I know I’m welcome to return any time with questions. Their incredible knowledge, warmth and positivity, and customized solutions have made all the difference in not only my thriving garden, but also how I see myself as a gardener.
