Here's my order I picked up this am for a job....fabulous as always!
Picked up an order for a community learning garden install. The order was picked and ready for us. Employees helped us pack the car and we fit 139 plants plus 4 shrubs into my station wagon. Everything was perfectly tilted and stacked in order to prevent injury to the plants. All varieties were healthy and happy as could be. we are super excited to plant next week. The nursery itself was beautiful with peacocks roaming. We had lunch at the picnic benches, watching the purple martins dive into the houses was a highlight.
Pleasant Run Nursery is a gem run by knowledgeable, passionate plant enthusiasts. Their collection of rare and newly introduced plants is impressive. I've been a customer for 10 years, drawn by their well-cared-for and thriving selections. No other nursery compares. Wishing them continued success. More nurseries should aspire to their standards. My only suggestion: consider allowing 'planties' to join in on a retail rather than wholesale basis. You could adjust the prices up from wholesale since no volume sales, consistency in demand, long term relationships or streamlined logistics and distribution. I don’t know any landscapers in my area along the Jersey Shore that recommend or use Pleasant Run Nursery, possibly due to their distance from the shore but there are plenty of plant lovers (including me) that would love to buy plants from Pleasant Run Nursery.
My favorite nursery not just because of the inventory but it’s always a pleasure to go and see the peacocks + donkeys , it’s very majestic! The inventory are truly for gardeners, great shade inventory and full size but easily plantable 15+20 gallon trees (example below from an installation ‘Sango Kanu’ Maple 🍁 .
