Sargent's Nursery

We were in need of a landscape plan for our new home. I was hesitant to stop in, thinking it wouldn’t be in my budget. But Kelley worked closely with us to create a complete plan within our budget. She was so helpful, enthusiastic and fun!

I had one bad experience getting dirt delivered from these guys, but it was made right after the fact by who I assume was the store manager. Beyond that, every time I’ve dealt with Sargent’s in the store or over the phone they’re always super helpful. I would have no problem recommending anyone shop in person at Sargent’s or going to their garden center staff with questions. I especially appreciate that they carry more boutique soils like fox farm. I would not recommend their dirt delivery. I haven’t bought any of their live plants, but based on the knowledge and level of care from the staff in store and in the garden area I wouldn’t hesitate to shop here.

What a perfect garden store- I am mostly interested in indoor plants, so that's where I spent most of my time, but their outdoor/yard plant collection was just as impressive. The greenhouse is packed with such a variety of healthy plants, even in the low point of the season, and I am just in love with their stocking choices. Anything from common to rare houseplants (even the ever-prized Monstera Thai Constellation) filled the shelves, and their yard plants are just as great. My favorite for outdoor plants was the native plants for sale, so thoughtful! Their pot, tool, soil, and decoration selection is great, everything you could possibly need. The staff are super helpful and friendly, and they're always willing to talk about plant needs and care. I will most certainly be a regular here, and I couldn't recommend it enough!

Visited for the first time today and was very happy with my purchases! A bit on the pricier side for a few items, but they are under warranty which is an added ‘bonus’. The workers were very friends and helpful! Will be back next summer for sure!

I’ve been a customer for many years even though I live about 30 miles away. They are one of the great resources for horticulture expertise you cannot get in a big box store, and I like to promote Sargent’s as an advocate for privately owned businesses. The annuals and perennials are always healthy and in a wide range of great possibilities. The gift shop is a great place to find unusual things for friends, or a gift certificate. I’m bragging on them today because I discovered the most lush and beautiful garland for our front door this year. It has three species of evergreen and is locally made. It was cut to the exact measurement I needed, and kicked off Christmas decorating in grand style.
