About

Audubon New York is dedicated to protecting birds and the places they need throughout New York State and the Western Hemisphere. As part of the National Audubon Society, the organization works to halt and reverse the decline of bird species, with more than 450 migratory, year-round, and wintering bird species calling New York home. Their conservation efforts focus on protecting critical habitats including coasts and oceans, rivers and wetlands, grasslands and forests, and urban spaces. Through habitat restoration, climate solutions, policy advocacy, and community science initiatives, Audubon New York engages citizens in bird conservation while promoting natural climate solutions and native plant stewardship. The organization provides resources for native plant selection, birding education, and community involvement opportunities that connect people with nature while supporting ecosystem health.
