About
The Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance (formerly Madison Audubon) is a conservation organization dedicated to celebrating, enjoying, and protecting Wisconsin's birds and natural heritage across ten counties in southern Wisconsin. Through habitat restoration and preservation at three sanctuaries—Fair Meadows, Faville Grove, and Goose Pond—the organization actively works to maintain healthy ecosystems for birds and wildlife. The Alliance combines education, habitat protection, and community engagement to inspire people of all ages to appreciate and support native Wisconsin landscapes. Members and volunteers participate in meaningful conservation activities including prairie seed collection, nest monitoring, guided field trips, and habitat restoration projects, while educational programs help develop future environmental leaders.
