About

The Native Plant Society of New Jersey is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation, protection, and study of New Jersey's native flora. Founded in 1983, the organization has grown to over 1,600 members organized into county and regional chapters throughout the state. NPSNJ serves gardeners, horticulturists, naturalists, landscape designers, students, and native plant enthusiasts by providing educational programs, webinars, and field trips focused on native plant conservation and ecological restoration. The organization actively advocates for invasive species management and rare plant protection, recently celebrating the passage of New Jersey's first-ever Invasive Species Management Act. Through its comprehensive resources, member chapters, and community events, NPSNJ empowers New Jersey residents to support biodiversity and ecosystem health through native plant gardening and habitat restoration.
