About

The Native Plant Society of Texas is a statewide conservation organization dedicated to promoting the protection, research, and utilization of native Texas plants and their habitats. With over 5,000 members organized across numerous local chapters, NPSOT works to advance native plant conservation through education, outreach, and community engagement. The organization operates a comprehensive Native Plant Database, offers the Native Landscape Certification Program, and partners with local nurseries through its NICE program to make native plants accessible to gardeners throughout Texas. Through symposiums, field trips, plant sales, and educational workshops, NPSOT empowers Texans to create sustainable landscapes that support wildlife, conserve water, and maintain the state's biological biodiversity.
