About

San Diego Bird Alliance (formerly San Diego Audubon Society) is a conservation organization dedicated to defending the region's birds, unique biodiversity, and threatened habitats through advocacy, education, and restoration. The organization operates two wildlife sanctuaries—the 785-acre Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary and the Anstine-Audubon Nature Preserve—while leading habitat restoration initiatives like ReWild Mission Bay and Native Seed Libraries that support both birds and pollinators. Through comprehensive education programs, volunteer opportunities, and community events, San Diego Bird Alliance empowers residents to protect local wildlife and strengthen environmental stewardship in their communities.
