About

The Texas Land Trust Council is a statewide coalition that supports and strengthens the land trust community to serve as a powerful force for land and water conservation across Texas. Working in partnership with private landowners, member organizations, government agencies, and NGO partners, the Council advocates for the permanent protection of Texas' natural lands and waters through conservation easements and land trust initiatives. With over 2 million acres conserved by Texas land trusts, the organization plays a vital role in preserving wildlife habitat, waterways, agricultural lands, and open spaces that define the Texas landscape. The Council hosts the annual Texas Land Conservation Conference, maintains the Conservation Lands Inventory database, and provides resources and guidance to strengthen conservation efforts throughout the state. By joining the Texas Land Trust Council, individuals and organizations can become partners in a coalition dedicated to ensuring that Texas' rich natural heritage, breathtaking views, and recreational opportunities are preserved for current and future generations.
