Master Gardener Program

About

The University of Arizona Extension Master Gardener Program empowers Arizona communities through trained volunteer gardeners dedicated to sustainable horticulture and environmental stewardship. Based in Tucson with local programs throughout Arizona counties including Pima, La Paz, Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino, and Yuma, the program connects passionate volunteers with expert knowledge in botany, pest management, and sustainable gardening practices. Master Gardeners work directly with their communities to grow food, support pollinators, and build resilient home gardens while sharing horticultural expertise. Through educational materials, expert consultation, and community events, the program leverages over 100 years of University of Arizona Extension research to help Arizona residents create thriving gardens and landscapes that benefit both people and the environment.
