About

Wild Ones Coastal Carolina Chapter is dedicated to promoting native plants and natural landscapes in the Wilmington, NC area. As part of the national Wild Ones organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the chapter works to inspire people to develop a sustainable relationship with the natural world by replacing invasive ornamental plants with native alternatives. Through education, community engagement, and habitat restoration initiatives, Wild Ones empowers local residents to create beautiful, ecologically beneficial landscapes that support wildlife and pollinators. The organization offers numerous ways for community members to get involved, from becoming certified through their Native Habitat program to attending webinars, volunteering on projects, and participating in local chapter events. By transforming residential and community landscapes into native plant gardens, Wild Ones Coastal Carolina Chapter helps restore critical habitat while building a more environmentally conscious community.
