About

Wild Ones Greater DuPage Chapter is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting environmentally sound landscaping practices that preserve biodiversity through the restoration and establishment of native plant communities in Illinois. Operating since 1992 as the first Wild Ones chapter outside Wisconsin, the organization serves DuPage County and surrounding areas with over 120 members committed to native plant conservation. The chapter offers comprehensive educational programs including native plant walks, yard tours, speaker presentations, and seed exchanges, while facilitating hands-on habitat restoration work days and field trips to local natural areas. By connecting community members with native plant knowledge and resources, Wild Ones Greater DuPage empowers residents to transform their landscapes into wildlife havens that support pollinators, birds, and other beneficial species while reducing reliance on invasive plants.
