Native Plant Society

About

Wild Ones Mid-Missouri Chapter is dedicated to promoting native plants for home and community landscaping in the Columbia, Missouri area. The chapter actively restores and maintains native plant demonstration areas throughout the region, including prairie plantings, native gardens, rain gardens, and woodland areas at multiple community sites. Through partnerships with Columbia Parks and Recreation, Missouri Master Naturalists, and local schools, Wild Ones Mid-Missouri engages the community in habitat restoration work while educating preschoolers and elementary students about native plants and pollinator conservation. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to participate in regular work days and guided tours of native gardens and natural areas, making native plant stewardship accessible to everyone interested in sustainable landscaping and ecological restoration.
