About

Wild Ones Nation's Capital Region Chapter is Maryland's first chapter of the national Wild Ones organization, dedicated to promoting environmentally sound landscaping practices that preserve biodiversity through native plant communities. Serving Montgomery County, the District of Columbia, and Northern Prince George's County, the chapter educates the community about the critical importance of native plants for environmental health and wildlife support. Through native habitat garden tours, plant and seed exchanges, educational programs, and expert-led workshops, Wild Ones empowers homeowners, businesses, schools, and organizations to establish native plant landscapes that support pollinators and natural ecosystems. Members benefit from hands-on learning opportunities, invasive species identification assistance, networking with conservation-minded gardeners, and access to exclusive programming designed to increase native plant adoption across all landscape types.
