About

Wild Ones NoVA Chapter is a dedicated community organization promoting environmentally friendly landscaping through native plant conservation in the Northern Virginia region. As part of the national Wild Ones network, the chapter works to preserve biodiversity by helping residents and communities establish, restore, and maintain native plant communities. The organization serves as a gathering space for like-minded individuals to learn about native plant landscaping, share knowledge, and collectively advocate for policy changes that support conservation landscaping practices. Currently, Wild Ones NoVA Chapter is actively campaigning to change Virginia legislation that restricts native plant gardens and rain gardens in HOA communities, demonstrating their commitment to removing barriers to native plant adoption. Through educational webinars, garden tours, plant and seed shares, and community engagement, the chapter empowers local residents to make a meaningful impact in the natural landscaping movement while expanding native plant use across public and private gardens throughout Northern Virginia.
