About

Wild Ones Western Pennsylvania Chapter is a volunteer-driven local chapter of Wild Ones Natural Landscalers, Ltd., a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental education and advocacy. Since 2021, the Western Pennsylvania chapter has been actively connecting native plants to community members throughout the Pittsburgh area. The chapter educates the public about the ecological importance of native plants—species that evolved naturally in North America and are perfectly adapted to local soil, moisture, and weather conditions. Through membership, educational programs, garden tours, field trips, and community engagement, Wild Ones Western PA empowers residents to transform their landscapes into thriving native plant communities that support local biodiversity. Members become part of a national movement to restore natural ecosystems while learning from experienced naturalists and like-minded conservation enthusiasts in their local area.
