Such a great place the staff is very knowledgeable, you can get lost in there for hour's, an awesome collection of native plants, trees, and shrubs you can't find anywhere else. I love this place and find myself going quite often.
I’m just going to add to the praises of what a treasure this nursery is. Whenever I go upstate, I literally try to arrange my departure date so that I can hit Catskill native nursery on the days that it’s open and time my departure to get there early. They have such an incredible selection, it’s really inspiring to walk around And take it all in. From natives to naturalized/non-invasive non-natives, shrubs, trees, flowers, everything. *chefs kiss*
This place is incredible. Every time I visit I am amazed by the large inventory of healthy native plants, and the incredible knowledge and passion of every worker I encounter. On our most recent visit, on April 14th my boyfriend and I braved the spring snow and selected a new peach tree, as well as some bee balm and something new and exciting (to me anyway) called Climbing Fumitory (aka: adlumia fungosa). I look forward to seeing our new additions thrive around our home! Such a great nursery...I highly recommend visiting!
Really lovely nursery. Really amazing selection of native-friendly plants and trees. End of summer sale (September's) added an extra 20% off which was a nice surprise. We picked up a flowering dogwood, mountain Laurel and a bunch of coneflowers. Well worth the drive. Parking on the side of the road fills up but we may have seen a small parking lot on the side, not sure.
Met 2 members of a Facebook group for the first time ant the nursery. Our love for plants was a barrier breaker and the beautiful nursery served as a perfect backdrop for starting a friendship. We had such a great time discussing our gardens and our love for the many variety of beautiful plants. The plants are in such great health that you can feel the love and tenderness of their human caretakers. And the prices!! Everything was so reasonably priced. I had a cart load of plants that included 2 apple trees that I was expecting sticker shock. To my surprise, I was under my budget. I can’t wait for the next trip to the nursery.
