My mom and I first discovered Desert Survivors 35 years ago when I was a kid. Taking a trip there during summer break was a treat and learning about their mission was an experience that I haven't forgotten. To this day, there is still a row of bushes in my parents backyard that we bought from Desert Survivors. It's a reminder of this wonderful place we have in Tucson that provides opportunity and teaches skills to people who might otherwise not get the chance.
Swung by here one morning to get some desert plants to ship back home where I live. I like collecting plants from many places and this location had a GREAT selection of Cacti and succulents to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful with me getting the best ones that would survive 1) shipping back to NY and 2) surviving cooler temperatures. Highly recommend! Could’ve spent much more time here exploring!
I have shopped here frequently over the years and have always found, and continue to find the staff very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They always have a good selection of native plants and I appreciate the great customer service I always receive. I highly recommend this nursery and their staff.
Great experience going to this plant nurcery, they do a great job with the plants and help people with disabilities giving them jobs. All the staff are very knowledgable and service oriented
Desert Survivors is the best place to get them plants. This a Program that helps those who can’t help themselves but being able to teach them how to survive out in the world. It’s the love 💕 of nature and pride that comes from their hard work, 😓 I know because I too love to plant 🪴. This gives them the ability to grow in their own way in time. I used to own a property by Starr Pass on the golf course and sold it a few years ago and I would pass by that place so many times. It’s always a great spot. It’s quite nice 😊 to see the different varieties of plants and how well the place is kept. I have stopped by there many times and the people there are so friendly and welcoming. Please join and support your local Nursery! 😇oh, as a matter of fact, I know a young man that used to work there., they gave him a job and it was the best job ever. They gave him a chance. He was very grateful he said to me.
