About
The Earth Sangha Wild Plant Nursery is a unique resource for ecological restoration in the greater Washington, DC area. As the region's most comprehensive source of local, wild native-plant material, the nursery specializes in propagating between 250-320 species, many of which are rare or in decline in the wild. With a focus on using local-ecotypes to safeguard genetic diversity and local adaptation, the nursery serves their own planting programs as well as those of area governments, schools, businesses, and other conservation nonprofits. Established in 2001, the nursery relies on dedicated volunteers to continue their important work in restoring native plant communities.

Matt Bright is incredibly knowledgeable. Highly recommend for your native plant needs and habitat restoration.
Wow, individual advice, knowledge of conservation and diversification. I learned so much by planting natives, each one I plant is engraved in my mind so learning plant identification becomes second nature. Volunteer, and you do the same. Five people checking out at the same time. I am transforming my yard from a desert into a Virginia ecosystem.
11/10!! Friendly knowledgable Horticulturists plus wild native plants grown with love - you can't go wrong!
Excellent source of native plants that have been grown in this area by experts. Lots of knowledgable people available to help select plants that will grow for you.
Nice place to buy plants and learn how to identify them and shopping walking around. Also friendly staff and available parking lot.
