Amazing people, amazing plants, and amazing nursery/operation. I have purchased plants from them two years in a row and they are so healthy. Highly, highly recommended.
We made our reservation and bought our plants a few days after they opened. All plants seem to be thriving except the Goldenrod which seems is being eaten. The owner raises the plants front seed which she localy collects. I can tell you what a painstaking process that is. All the plants seem to be doing well except the golden rod. Something is eating it. The owner was very helpful giving us a list of plants that would do well in our yard. We plan to go back in the fall to see what is new.
Highly recommend this wonderful nursery! It’s by appointment only, so be sure to email ahead. The person working there was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, asking questions about our soil in order to recommend the best grasses for the particular area. Reasonable prices and truly a special place, doing great work. We will most definitely be back!
I have a homegrown tiny meadow in my side yard and Hummingbird Hill has been a big part of helping me with it. They did a site consultation to identify natives and invasives and gave me a huge list of plants to choose from to continue to add to what was already there. I have been to their nursery a number of times to buy plants and they are very knowledgeable, organized, and helpful. They are passionate about bringing habitat corridors to our urban and rural lands to continue to give native flora and fauna more opportunities to survive and thrive!
