Nearly Native Nursery and Native Oasis Botanical Garden
Fayetteville, Georgia
About
Nearly Native Nursery is a specialty nursery that promotes, sells, and propagates southeastern native plants for all types of landscapes. They offer a wide variety of native plant life not found in typical garden centers, providing tough, versatile, and beautiful alternatives to more exotic nursery stock. These native plants are well-suited to local water, soil, and pest conditions, and many provide food and habitats for songbirds, butterflies, and moths. Once established, native plants can withstand drought and water restrictions better than many other plants. Nearly Native Nursery helps customers find the right native plants for their specific site requirements, from low, soggy ground to steep, dry slopes, creating beautiful, low-maintenance focal points in the landscape.

An oasis of native GA species! If you're a plant nerd, this is heaven... I didn't wanna leave! The grounds here are magical... You can buy a plant that attracts the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds without killing them with neonicotinoids. Their expertise and passion is evident the second you walk down their wooded garden paths. Smell the blooms, learn about which native species to plant instead of the boring ones you get at big box places. Native species grow better. They help restore native flora and fauna lost due to development and misguided landscaping practices. Nearly Native has pitcher plants, cacti, oakleaf, vines and native azaleas and everything that grows native in Ga. I fell in love with this place and made new friends. Coming back in summer to see the monarchs!!
Great place! Jim and Debbie are awesome. Picked up a couple of plants and enjoyed looking around.
Jim was wonderful during our visit to the nursery. He was very knowledgeable, generous and kind. We got exactly the plants we needed and we will definitely be back as we continue to expand our native garden.
Jim and his team of all stars are the definition of native ecology. Their plant selection, knowledge, and personability make this nursery heads& shoulders above any big box store. From the beginning you are greeted with warmth and genuine interest which makes learning about the plant selection so much more engaging. From the wild hummingbirds, to the turkeys down the street, to the friendly pet Macaw, Butters, in the garden, this is the nursery to visit!!
I have lived in Fayetteville all of my life and haven’t been here before until my older brother found his passion for gardening and native plants. We went to this nursery together and Jim and Debi couldn’t have been nicer! I wish I had known about this place my whole life because there is so much variety and so much I didn’t know about natives that I know now!! It’s such a hidden gem and I love it. If you haven’t been you’ve got to go!
