Had a very informative (and fun!) time with Vince going through exactly what my site consisted of (shade, soil types, etc.) and he helped us make sure that we were getting plants that would be great for the site. Highly recommend you going out and getting some natives from this nursery. Can’t wait to show you some pictures in a couple years of all the growth.
This is my second year of buying plants from them and I have yet to be disappointed! Vince is very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to selecting plants for your specific growing environment. Everything that I purchased last year has come back beautifully! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Vince puts a lot of focus into his customers and will go beyond what you expect for an exemplary customer service experience! I highly recommend this nursery!!!
What an amazing experience! Vince not only was very knowledgeable about the variety of plant plants grown on site, but he really took the time to personalize the shopping experience. Even when other customers stopped by he made sure each person was attended to and given as much time as they needed to make an informed purchase for their garden. The plants offered for sale were beautiful and I can tell how much care has gone into their production. Vince even went so far as to check their root development to ensure I had a quality plant ready for transplant. Almost everything offered was a native variety to Michigan and I really can't express how impressed I was with the entire experience. I spent about an hour total and about 150 dollars and it was well worth it for both the consultation and products.
I’ve gotten plants from here several times over the last year or so and will continue to. The quality is great and Vince the owner is very knowledgeable. I love that all the plants are native and it seems there’s great care taken in where they’re sourced - if Windy Rock doesn’t start them on their property themselves. I recommend this nursery for all the great natives and also the harder to find ones too!
We had a fantastic experience working with Vince at Windy Rock Nursery. We were planning a micro forest and didn’t realize that bare root trees typically need to be ordered six months in advance. Vince went above and beyond to help us pull everything together—he was kind, gracious, and incredibly resourceful in making sure our order was complete. His attention to detail throughout the entire process and his genuine care made him an absolute pleasure to work with. Exceptional customer service and beautiful, healthy plants—highly recommend!
