About

The DC Master Gardener Program, hosted at the University of the District of Columbia's College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability & Environmental Sciences, is dedicated to advancing sustainable gardening and urban agriculture education in Washington, DC. Operating under the CAUSES (College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences) framework, the program is part of the Center for Urban Agriculture and Gardening Education (CUAGE), which expands public knowledge of sustainable farming techniques that improve food and water security. The Master Gardener Program serves the local community through research-based education and training, promoting healthy and sustainable gardening practices that enhance both environmental resilience and community wellness.
