About

The Native Plant Society of Northeastern Ohio is dedicated to promoting the study, appreciation, and conservation of Ohio's native plants and plant communities. Based in Cleveland, the organization engages the community through a diverse array of educational programs, field trips, and citizen science initiatives designed to deepen understanding of the region's botanical heritage. Members participate in monthly programs ranging from botanical hikes and shade gardening workshops to habitat restoration projects and species identification workshops. The society also organizes after-work wildflower walks, supports bioblitz events for documenting local biodiversity, and provides resources on landscaping with native plants. Through partnerships with local parks and conservation organizations, NPSNEO offers opportunities for both novice and experienced naturalists to contribute to conservation efforts while exploring the natural landscapes of northeastern Ohio.
