Native Plant Society

About

The Pennsylvania Native Plant Society is an all-volunteer, member-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the conservation of native plants and their habitats throughout Pennsylvania. The organization promotes the increased use of native plants in landscapes, helping residents understand that native species are naturally adapted to local growing conditions, easier to maintain, and essential for supporting pollinators and wildlife. Through membership dues, donations, and volunteer efforts, PNPS funds community grants, sponsors educational events and annual meetings, publishes newsletters, and provides outreach across the state. The organization operates multiple chapters and offers numerous ways for native plant enthusiasts to get involved, from attending plant sales and festivals to volunteering for conservation projects and joining online forums with over 14,000 members.
