About

The Washington Native Plant Society (WNPS) is dedicated to promoting the appreciation and conservation of Washington's native plants and their habitats through study, education, and advocacy. With twelve active chapters spanning the state from the Pacific coast to the eastern shrub-steppe, WNPS engages botanists, gardeners, and plant enthusiasts in meaningful conservation work. The organization offers diverse programs including native plant sales, botanical workshops, habitat restoration projects, and educational events designed to deepen community understanding of Washington's unique flora. Through its comprehensive Native Plant Directory, seasonal study weekends, and monthly Botanical Rambles blog, WNPS provides accessible resources for native plant identification, sustainable gardening practices, and ecological restoration. Members and volunteers contribute directly to conservation initiatives while building connections with like-minded plant lovers across Washington State.
