Native Plant Society

About

Wild Ones Ann Arbor Area Chapter is dedicated to promoting native plants and natural landscapes throughout the Huron River Valley and surrounding Michigan areas. As one of over 100 chapters nationwide and the third Wild Ones chapter established in the nation, this organization educates and advocates for biodiversity through sustainable landscaping practices using regionally native plants. The chapter offers monthly meetings, outdoor outings, garden tours, and special events designed to inspire residents to transform their properties into wildlife refuges while creating ecological corridors across the community. Members and the public can engage with native plant experts, attend educational programs at Matthaei Botanical Gardens, participate in habitat restoration initiatives, and connect through an active online community of over 400 native landscape enthusiasts, professionals, and volunteers.
