About

The Wild Ones Greater Indianapolis Chapter is a dedicated community organization committed to advancing native plant conservation and sustainable landscaping practices across Indianapolis and surrounding counties including Boone, Brown, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, Putnam, and Shelby. Through education, advocacy, and collaborative action, the chapter promotes the preservation, restoration, and establishment of native plant communities to support biodiversity and ecosystem health. Wild Ones serves as a gathering space for like-minded individuals passionate about natural landscaping, offering residents the opportunity to learn why native plants matter and how to successfully incorporate them into public and private gardens. By connecting community members who share environmental values, the chapter empowers locals to become advocates for native plant restoration and drives meaningful change in the natural landscaping movement.
