Native Plant Society

About

Wild Ones South Bend Chapter, established in 2021, is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to promoting native plant landscapes and supporting the wildlife that depends on them across the greater Michiana region of Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan. The chapter serves as a vital resource for connecting people with native plants through educational programming, community projects, and hands-on habitat restoration efforts. With monthly meetings at Pinhook Park Community Center featuring expert speakers, twice-annual plant sales, invasive species removal projects, and community partnerships, Wild Ones South Bend empowers local residents to create healthy native gardens and contribute to a thriving local ecosystem. The organization offers members access to native plant lists, garden design resources, educational presentations, and plant-sharing opportunities, making native plant gardening accessible to everyone.
