About

Wild Ones Piedmont Virginia Chapter is part of the national Wild Ones: Native Plants, Natural Landscapes organization, dedicated to promoting the use of native plants and natural landscaping practices in the Charlottesville area. The chapter engages the community in native plant conservation through education, habitat restoration, and landscape transformation initiatives. Members and volunteers work together to create certified native habitats, support pollinators like monarch butterflies, and foster a deeper connection between people and the natural landscapes of the Piedmont region. Through membership programs, volunteer opportunities, and community events, Wild Ones Piedmont Virginia Chapter empowers local residents to replace conventional landscapes with native plant gardens that support local ecosystems and require less maintenance.
