About

Wild Ones Western North Carolina Chapter is dedicated to promoting environmentally sound landscaping practices that preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration, and establishment of native plant communities. Serving a large geographic area including Asheville, Franklin, Sylva, and the Blue Ridge Mountain region, this chapter connects passionate community members who share a commitment to native plants and natural landscapes. The organization offers educational resources, garden design guidance, and community events including classes, walks, and talks that help both experienced gardeners and newcomers create striking home landscapes that benefit local wildlife while supporting ecological health. Through membership in the national Wild Ones organization, members gain access to the quarterly Wild Ones Journal and participate in webinars, workshops, and annual meetings focused on rethinking horticulture through the lens of real ecology.
