About

Wild Ones Western Pennsylvania Chapter is a volunteer-driven local chapter of Wild Ones Natural Landscalers, Ltd., dedicated to connecting native plants with the Pittsburgh community. Since 2021, this all-volunteer organization has been actively engaged in educating residents about the importance of native plants and promoting the development of native plant communities throughout Western Pennsylvania. The chapter provides hands-on environmental education and advocacy, helping community members understand how native plants evolved naturally in North America and thrive in local soil, moisture, and weather conditions. Members benefit from networking opportunities, educational programs, garden tours, field trips, and access to the Wild Ones Journal quarterly newsletter, while contributing to a national movement to restore natural plant communities and support local biodiversity.
