Great place to trees and shrubs. We picked up several bushes and trees from them and yearly hanging baskets. The staff knows their plants and the display gardens are beautiful.
This place is a hidden gem! They have a great assortment of natives, annuals, perennials, houseplants, veggies, herbs, trees, bushes, shrubs, water plants and more! I've gotten some truly unique day lilies and tiger lilies here for my family. It's a pleasant place to pop in and visit -- I always love to see the fish pond and hear the frogs. Highly recommend!
Wonderful selection of plants and helpful staff (including the cutest little resident kitty!). The nursery is tucked into a peaceful and beautiful setting. They have many varieties of astilbe, more than I've seen anywhere else. Each plant variety is labeled with a detailed sign describing its characteristics, making it easier to choose among them. Looking forward to coming back here again!
I passed by it a few times whilst cycling before I decided to stop in one time. It’s small, but it has a great variety of native plants, plants that thrive in the climate here, and certain tropical house and patio plants. I saw a passionfruit vine here but had no money, so I asked if they wouldn’t mind watching over it for a day until I came back, and the next day it was there waiting for me so I was doubly chuffed. They also have a wide variety of soil menders such as gypsum and Hollytone, potting soil, and pots for sale as well (though mostly plastic ones, the prices are quite nice). Since autumn is one of the best times to plant outdoor perennials, I would stop on by if not to pick up a corn stalk or some mums. Cheers.
Tucked away on the outskirts of State College, this little sanctuary is easy to miss but more than worth it to visit. Great selections for any size yard, all labeled and sectioned in a logical manner along the winding property. We especially loved all of the native plants! Got a good handful of plants for our shady front yard and was pleasantly surprised at the price. Will 100% be returning in the near future to purchase native trees for our property. (Sidenote; we were absolutely tickled by the ponds and pleasantly surprised at the plant selections there.)
