Finally got over to Native Nook Nursery & so glad I did. Melissa has such a variety, all nicely labeled which I really appreciate. I bought a plant I've been looking for, which is also growing in her front bed, so I could see it full size. And a new plant not on my radar or my wish list. Plus a pollinator sign just for fun 😁 & to educate the neighbors.
This is the cutest nursery! Great variety of native plants, plus books, nature themed stuff for kids, stickers, and so much more! They post a lot of updates on FB so it's easy to know what is the latest update about plants or new merch in the shop. 10/10 highly recommend!
Native Nook offers an excellent selection of plants and shrubs. I purchased Rose Milkweed, Blue Mistflower, and others as plugs. They were very healthy and are growing beautifully! If there is something you want that you don't see, ask! Melissa will do her best to get you what you want. Be sure to stop in at the attached Nature Store. The selection of items is excellent, from nature journaling supplies, to bee and bird products and stickers. I always find a gift or something for myself.
Native Nook Nursery is an absolute delight! Melissa has a lovely variety of healthy, native stock. She is knowledgeable and is happy to talk plants and wildlife. Her shop is also full of wonderful things for the nature lover.
I made my first visit to Native Nook this summer at the recommendation of a friend. I was truly impressed with the variety of plants and all the information available about each one. I came away with just what I needed to fill in an empty space in my garden that will make the pollinators happy for years to come. There was also a nice selection of books and decorative garden items. Most of all I appreciate the owner’s commitment to selling plants that are native to this area and will benefit the local ecosystem. I know that she is constantly working to build and expand the nursery, and I’m looking forward to making a trip back soon.
