A little off the beaten path (maybe better signage)? This is a hidden jewel. They have allll types of native plants. Everyone who works there is more than willing and happy to help. Employees have such great knowledge about the plants. A must place to visit if you're looking for any kind of native plant!
Public response to the other reviewer, their Instagram says they're on hiatus but their website under the Arroyo Seco Foundation has more info! I volunteer at a beautiful native plant nursery that also falls under a non-profit called Dry Creek Preserve and I'd like to say, they're(small native plant nurseries) are worth the time of waiting and visiting! So I'm very excited to visit Hahamongna Native Plant Nursery when they open again! And wishing them well!
It’s a bit tucked away, inside a park so you just got to follow the signs that lead to this beautiful plant nursery! You can find local native plants here that help bring wildlife to your garden. We got white sage, common yarrow and the rubus ursinus. Plants sold here are at a reasonable price and with a great selection. 🐝🦋
Though tucked out of the way, follow the signs along the winding park road to get down to this burgeoning nursery stuffed full of native plants. The placards have all the information to introduce you to each plant - and the mature garden showcases a lot of specimens so you can see what they’re like fully grown. The plants for sale are competitively priced and in good health.
A nice, voluteer-run nursery specializing in native plants that do well in the SoCal climate. They often put on events, like the one went to, that was free to the community. Trust your GPS - it takes a bit to get there even after you think!
