About

Alachua Conservation Trust is Florida's regional land trust leader, dedicated to protecting and preserving natural spaces across North Central Florida for nearly four decades. Since 1988, ACT has been instrumental in conserving over 70,000 acres of critical natural lands, including the direct protection of more than 27,000 acres and the management of additional acreage through conservation easements with private landowners. The organization works across 22 counties in North Central Florida, operating parks and preserves while implementing habitat restoration and management programs that support native plant communities and ecosystem health. Through land acquisition, conservation easements, environmental education outreach, and community engagement initiatives, ACT inspires the next generation to make a difference while ensuring a sustainable future for Florida's land, water, and wildlife. People can support ACT's conservation mission through donations, planned giving, land donations, and by participating in community events and educational programs.
