About

The Iowa Native Plant Society is a volunteer-operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing awareness and appreciation of Iowa's native ecosystems. Open to all individuals with a passion for native plants, the organization connects enthusiasts through field trips, workshops, newsletters, and community events focused on prairie, savanna, wetland, and woodland habitats. By promoting education about native flora and supporting conservation efforts, INPS works to foster a deeper understanding of Iowa's natural heritage while encouraging the ethical use and enjoyment of native plants. Members and visitors can participate in guided field trips to significant natural areas, contribute to discussion groups, and share their own observations and photography through the organization's biannual newsletters.
