About

The Nevada Native Plant Society (NVNPS) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering appreciation and conservation of Nevada's diverse native plant species. Founded in 1975, NVNPS serves as an educational hub for anyone interested in learning about, conserving, growing, or appreciating the 2,800+ wild plant species native to Nevada. The organization brings together people of all backgrounds and experience levels who share a passion for protecting the region's unique flora. Through field trips, publications, and community programs, NVNPS works to stimulate interest in native plants while advancing habitat preservation efforts across Nevada. Members and volunteers contribute to conservation initiatives and share knowledge about Nevada's botanical heritage, making native plant conservation accessible to the broader community.
