About

Bird Alliance of Oregon, formerly Portland Audubon, is a conservation organization dedicated to protecting native birds, wildlife, and their habitats across the Oregon landscape. Through habitat protection, wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and community stewardship, the organization works to create a region where people and wildlife flourish together. The organization operates three wildlife sanctuaries, including a 172-acre sanctuary just 10 minutes from downtown Portland, and runs the Wildlife Care Center which rehabilitates injured and orphaned native wildlife. Bird Alliance of Oregon engages thousands of community members through volunteer opportunities, youth and adult education programs, backyard habitat restoration projects, and community science initiatives that empower Oregonians to make a direct impact on wildlife conservation.
