About

Audubon Mid-Atlantic, based in Baltimore and serving Maryland and the District of Columbia, is dedicated to protecting birds and the places they need through science-based conservation, policy advocacy, and community engagement. The organization addresses two of the most significant threats to birds in the region: habitat biodiversity loss and climate change. Through initiatives like Marshes for Tomorrow, Audubon Mid-Atlantic works to restore critical coastal ecosystems, create healthy and resilient forests, and protect the Delaware River watershed. The organization empowers community members to support bird conservation through free bird tours, community science projects, educational programs, and opportunities to advocate for renewable energy and habitat restoration policies at state and federal levels.
